    JOB TITLE: Key Accounts Representative
    LOCATION: Must reside in either New York or New England and within 60 miles of a major/regional airport
    REPORTS TO: Off-Premise Key Accounts Manager
    FLSA POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Salaried Exempt – Outside Sales
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 01/02/2018-01/21/2018

    SUMMARY: Manages relationships and assists in the coordination of programming between brewery and Off Premise key account (chain) customers directly and through Lead Brewery Representatives. Specifically, this role focuses on region grocery chains.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Adheres to and advances the ethical sales culture of Bell’s Brewery, Inc.
    •Develops and maintains a true strategic partnership with key off premise customers within Region.
    •Assumes a leadership role in understanding, developing, and implementing key customer initiatives within the craft beer section and beer segment in general.
    •Conducts regular sales calls with customers. At each call (or quarterly) conduct business review, share industry trends and information, and/or present programs with focus on benefits to the customer.
    •Coordinates various approved customer programs with Off-Premise Key Accounts Manager, Region Business Manager, Lead Brewery Representatives, and Distributor partners that will be affected.
    •Conducts regular (monthly or quarterly) teleconferences with distributor partners on Key Account Team initiatives in the region.
    •Manages and communicates shared expectations between customer, Distributor partners, Off-Premise Key Accounts Manager, Region Business Manager, and Lead Brewery Representatives including brands, pricing, timing, volume, locations, support documents and any other information that will lead to disciplined execution in the field.
    •Reviews data relevant to key accounts with Region Business Manager, Off-Premise Key Accounts Manager, and Lead Brewery Representatives to convert insights into actions for distributor presentations.
    •Presents at all Regional Team meetings to layout goals and programs. Discuss progress toward achieving goals and develop tactical plans to deliver volume.
    •Regularly surveys accounts to ensure accurate pricing and programs (if applicable) are being executed.
    •Develops annual budget plans by account, with Off-Premise Key Accounts Manager. Track spending on-going.
    •Maintains and updates account contact information regularly.
    •Provides annual customer overview for Regional Business Manager and Lead Brewery Representatives. Develops and maintain strategic partnerships with key retailers and restaurateurs in area.
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Demonstrated knowledge of chain environment and three tier system
    •Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with top level account decision makers, distributors, and all internal stakeholders
    •Ability to analyze and translate insights data
    •Demonstrated coaching and team building skills
    •Demonstrated ability to think strategically
    •Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    •Ability to work independently with little supervision – self motivated
    •Excellent oral, analytical, and written communication skills
    •Strong organizational & planning skills
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary
    •Ability to identify tasks that need to be completed
    •Ability to troubleshoot and find creative solutions to problems

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s degree and five years of industry experience
    •A minimum of three years’ experience in Key Account/Chain management
    •Understands the role of Key Accounts/Chains within Bell’s sales philosophy
    •High level of craft beer product knowledge
    •A high level of professionalism
    •Willingness to make difficult decisions when necessary

    •Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
    •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 58 lbs.
    •Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
    •Must be able to participate in critical assessment of beers
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    •The ability to travel via car or airplane on a regular basis.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    •The work environment is usually an office environment.
    •Regular visits to bars, restaurants, and other retailers of Bell’s beer are required.
    •Travel is required.
