Stray Dog Brewing Company, recently named one of Canada's Top 5 new breweries by Sharp Magazine, is looking for a part time cellerperson/delivery driver. Does this sound like you? You love craft beer. You're passionate about your community and believe in being part of a fun pack of people. The best person for the job may have lots of experience, or may just have the right personality. We are just a giant puzzle looking to find the right pieces. You may be it.
This new support role in the brewery will be part-time initially (flexible hours required) but could grow into a full-time role. You are someone who is hard-working, a quick learner, has a positive attitude, and good communication skills. Experience working in a brewery is not required but we will prioritize candidates who have it.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist and eventually manage packaging cans and kegs
- Organize and keep track of packaged and raw material inventory
- Cleaning and sanitizing kegs as well as the inside and outside of brewing tanks and equipment (experience handling brewing chemicals is an asset)
- Preparing beer transfers
- Keg cleaning
- Shipping and receiving
- Work with sales to coordinate weekly deliveries.
- Deliveries of kegs and cans within the Ottawa area
- Assist Head Brewer with tasks on a brew day as required
- Setting up and working events outside the brewery
- Line cleaning
Requirements:
- G-class Drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 kg
- Previous experience working in a brewery or similar is considered a strong asset
- Experience working with cleaning solutions
- Minimum one-two years experience
- SmartServe Certification
- Passionate about craft beer
- Flexible work hours
- Positive personality and a willingness to work hard in order to play hard
Additional considerations:
- Experience using Cask, Wild Goose or other canning line
- Experience in mechanics, equipment repair, welding
- Bilingual
