Position Posting: Head Brewer/ Brewery Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Head Brewer position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, finishing, bottling, packaging ,sensory evaluation and scheduling. The head brewer position requires a teamwork oriented, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a production brewery
3+ years of management experience
Follow SOPs and other documentation to produce a consistent, high quality product
Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment
Able to work independently
Think critically and react swiftly and appropriately to changing conditions
Work safely with chemicals and other workplace hazards according to safety protocols
Work well in a team and encourage positive morale
Work with others, packaging on a bottling line
Lab experience is desired

REQUIREMENTS
Education: College Science degree preferred
Experience: 5 years professional brewing experience at a 5k+ bbl / year brewery
Degree from an accredited brewing school is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours
Ability to lift 55 lbs on a consistent basis
Occasional weekend shift availability
