    JOB OVERVIEW
    Rhinegeist Brewery has an exceptional opportunity for a talented Distribution Team Leader. This position will be located in Columbus, OH and will lead and manage our sales managers as they grow our brand in the market. We are a quickly growing organization but generally the opposite of any corporate environment! We’re looking for someone that shares our zany personality, loves the mechanics of selling beer and can beat the drum in a rhythm to inspire us to greater heights as a distribution team.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    The Distribution Team Leader will manage and lead the sales team to achieve sales and customer service goals. This role will work closely with key accounts and our sales team to coach and guide distribution and brand growth efforts. The ideal candidate has the ability to recognize opportunity, build great relationships with key decision makers and advance the potency of our front line sales team. This player/coach will spend a good amount of time in the trade as well as analyzing market data for opportunities. This role will build relationships with local/independent chains and work closely to build stronger relationships with key accounts, on and off premise.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage a minimum of 5 direct reports.
    • Develop front line sales team on mechanics of sales techniques, opportunity recognition, data analysis, relationship management and other associated success skills.
    • Manage and grow relationships with key accounts and locally based chains, both on and off premise.
    • Communicate upstream market insights.
    • Maintain regular ride with frequency with the team.
    • Recognize and pursue market opportunities while supporting sales team growth.
    • Build sales and marketing strategy across including merchandising targets, quality measurements and channel strategy.
    • Analyze market data and develop targets to sustainably grow beer sales.
    • Educate sales team and accounts on beer quality, ensuring product freshness, staff training, best practice point of sale, shelf management and other promotional activities.
    • Planning and executing effective meetings with key accounts and leading the sales team to independently do the same.



    REQUIREMENTS
    • Located in Columbus.
    • Proven sales and management experience.
    • Familiarity with alcohol and hospitality industry. Strong relationships with retailers and deep knowledge of the industry preferred.
    • Minimum 4 year degree in Business or equivalent experience required.
    • Minimum 2 years in consumer packaged beverage sales - alcohol experience preferred.
    • High level of knowledge of excel, VIP, Encompass, Armadillo.
    • Experience and competence with Microsoft office suite and deep analytical skillset.
    • Excellent communication and time management skills and a palpable love for craft beer.
