    American pale ale recipe feedback

    Hello,

i was homebrewing for five years and now i decided to start microbrewery. Doing my first recipe for APA in 2bbl - 230 litre Brewiks system. I need some feedback about recipe if it is formulated ok. Wondering about hop utilization in whirpool. When the wort is boiled then i transfer it to another vessel where whirpool starts. At these point i add hops in very hot wort. Then i start to chill wort with plate chiller. So the hops are long time in contact with wort. Does biterness goes up?

    Here is the recipe:

    Type: All Grain
    Batch Size: 230,00 l

    OG 1.052
    FG 1.011
    IBU 36
    ABV 5.5 %

Single infussion mash 66 degrees celsius, 151 Fahrenheit.

    43,00 kg Pale ale Bestmalz (6,0 EBC) Grain 1 92,9 %

    150,00 g Hallertau Magnum [14,00 %] - Boil 60,0 min Hop 3 21,8 IBUs
    200,00 g Cascade [5,50 %] - Boil 10,0 min Hop 4 4,1 IBUs
    200,00 g Simcoe [12,60 %] - Boil 10,0 min Hop 5 9,5 IBUs
    200,00 g Cascade [5,50 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 0,0 min Hop 6 0,0 IBUs
    200,00 g Simcoe [12,60 %] - Steep/Whirlpool 0,0 min Hop 7 0,0 IBUs
    200,00 g Cascade [5,50 %] - Dry Hop 4,0 Days Hop 9 0,0 IBUs
    200,00 g Simcoe [12,60 %] - Dry Hop 4,0 Days Hop 10 0,0 IBUs

22,0 pkg Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05) Ferment at 18 celsius, 65 fahrenheit for two weeks, then dry hop for four days and cold crash.

The beer would be bottled with enolmatic, does anyone use these filler? Thanks.

You will get isomerization anywhere about 175*F. If you don't want any bitterness from your WP additions wait to add them until you get down to below that temperature.
