About Us
Tucker Brewing Company is opening in Tucker, GA in the Spring of 2018 and looking for a self-motivated and passionate individual to join our team. We will be brewing traditional beers on a brand new 30 bbl four-vessel brewhouse, lagering beers in a sizeable tank farm, and packaging in kegs and cans.
Tucker Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery dedicated to providing quality beer with respect for German brewing tradition while honoring our Southern roots. We strive every day to create a warm environment where family and friends can come together to appreciate beer, food, and life.
We are a small group of individuals who are dedicated to brewing high quality beer and building a strong company. The Georgia beer scene is growing and we are looking to grow with it.
General Description
The Brewer will work directly with the Head Brewmaster to ensure the highest quality of beer from kernel to keg. As we are a new brewery this individual must be self-motivated, adventurous, and work well in a team environment. The Brewer will be engaged in all parts of the brewing process: brewing, fermentation, lagering, filtration, packaging, yeast propagation, laboratory analytics, and sensory analytics.
Responsibilities
Brew batches according to Tucker Brewing Company recipes on our 30 bbl brewhouse.
Maintain good record-keeping during each step of the brewing process.
Ensure safe and hygienic storage of all ingredients.
Close monitoring of fermentation and lagering schedule.
Safely execute CIP procedures on all vessels.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Package beer in kegs and cans.
Perform laboratory analytics on wort and beer throughout the brewing process, including, but not limited to: gravity, density, alcohol content, pH, cell count, and CO2 content.
Perform sensory analytics on fermenting beer and finished beer.
Work with Head Brewmaster to develop new recipes.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
1-2 years professional brewing experience, preferred.
Experience with QA analytical procedures, preferred.
Keg and can packaging experience, preferred.
Deep understanding of classic styles.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
A passion for craft brewing.
Attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task.
Good computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office.
Physical demands include, but are not limited to: frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; ability to lift and/or move up to 150 lbs; and ability to remain on feet for long periods of time.
