    21st Amendment Brewery is a rapidly growing craft brewery that has seen massive growth since inception almost 17 years ago. The brewery has two locations. We have a full-service Brew Pub in San Francisco, where we test brew our beers, and a large-scale production facility located in San Leandro, CA. Our team is filled with fun, passionate, and intelligent people. We’re an energetic and enthusiastic group that is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done with high quality output as the top priority. Not just within accounting, but every department. We distribute across the US and we’re making strides every month growing and expanding our craft brew success.



    The Job:

    We’re looking for a Junior Accountant that will focus on AR, AP, state and federal compliance, and daily accounting tasks. Expect to grow quickly within the role and take on other accounting functions to support the team. During the course of your work you should look for efficiencies and be proactive with improvements to the process. Communication with your manager and the team is very important. Responsibility and the accuracy of your work along with timely completion of tasks is high priority. You’ll be working with several other accounting staff and under the management of our Financial Controller whose own objective is to make sure the team operates with high efficiency, accuracy, and completeness so timely high-level strategic decisions can be made. You will be expected to learn quickly and take diligent notes for all tasks. Your success in this role relies heavily on your thoroughness and attention to detail. You must be enthusiastic about learning and growing with the team. You must be able to adapt to one-off tasks and requests that may come up with special project work.     Some Duties Will Include:


    Accounts Payable

    Day-to-day processing of invoices, expense reports, payments to vendors and credits associated
    Preparing AP check packages for review
    Credit card payment management and reconciliation of statements

    Accounts Receivable
    Invoicing, vendor correspondence, credit memos
    Balance Sheet Reconciliations
    State and Federal compliance
    Payroll processing
    Employee expense reports and reimbursements
    Assisting the Controller and various staff with projects as needed
    Maintenance of accounting calendar
    Taking detailed notes during meetings


    Qualifications:
    Required:

    AA degree with related field coursework
    At least 1-3+ years of AR/AP accounting experience in a small to mid-size company
    Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
    Proficiency with PC computers
    Excellent organizational skills
    Aptitude to learn new tasks and procedures quickly
    A pleasant humble personality
    Capacity to work under time constraints and deadlines

    Preferred:

    Bachelor’s degree in related field coursework
    Experience with Sage Peachtree accounting software
    Office management experience
    Beer industry experience
