Looking for head brewer for new brewery in the planning stages in Triangle area of North Carolina. Salary and potential profit sharing negotiable.
Responsibilities Include:
Brewing to brand specification on 15bbl brewhouse
Following and maintaining brewery SOPs
Yeast cultivation and cell counting
Meet with trade associations
Work with brewing staff on process innovation
Participate in planning and logistics (including budgeting, inventory and advising on capital expenditures)
Training new brewing staff & contributing to positive team dynamic
General record keeping and QA/QC
Canning/bottling
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years production brewing experience
Experience managing a beer production line
Experience managing others
Experience keeping records for quality control
Experience cultivating yeast
Multi-tasking ability
Methodical, with thorough attention to detail
Directable & self-motivated
Problem-solver
Follows tasks and projects through to completion
Mechanical or engineering experience a plus
