  • Palmer vs Codi for Mobile

    Hey All-

Looking to get a mobile canning line running and have narrowed my search down to the soon to be released Palmer line (http://www.palmercanning.com/product...filler-seamer/) and the Codi45. I really like the idea of counter pressure and ability to run full caustic and steam on these lines due to the beverages I will be bouncing between.

Any experience with the seamers, customer support, etc?

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

40 CPM, is not that fast......
I would think a mobile operation would for sure need more.

I would agree that 40 CPM is not that fast, but I would think those needing to run more than that would see a wise investment in purchasing an in house line. As a mobile caning operation you will be most likely to run at 15bbl sized (brewhouse) operations or less. The mobile operators I have seen will generally opt for multiple lines over one single higher speed line for flexibility. You can get up to 800 cases a day (normal 8 hours) at 40 CPM, that is almost 60bbl. If you need more than that in a single day, you should probably purchase your own line and supplies. Also, 40 CPM is about the price shelf for the cheaper lines, you jump up pretty big from there.
