    JOB TITLE: National Key Accounts Business Development Manager
    LOCATION: Within a Bell’s territory and within 60 miles of a major/regional airport
    REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales and Marketing
    FLSA POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried Exempt Outside Sales
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 02/26/2018- 03/18/2018

    POSITION SUMMARY: Senior Leader role responsible for the management and growth of key accounts and business development in our National Key Account segments by building long term, strategic relationships. Develops and executes a strategy for key customers that will drive volume, growth, and maximize opportunities for the customer. Grows profitability by building the market position, identifying growth opportunities and leading the development and delivery of new products to the customer while achieving growth goals.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery
    •Develops and maintains a true strategic partnership with key on and off premise customers
    •Leads, coaches, and empowers direct and indirect teams to perform and achieve results in line with department strategy and goals
    •Assumes a leadership role in understanding, developing, and implementing key customer initiatives within the craft beer section and beer segment, in general
    •Oversees communication between all relevant stakeholders to support and drive disciplined execution of key account programs and/or objectives
    •Develops and maintains working relationships with key personnel from local District Managers to the buyers
    •Responsible for driving Off and On Premise Channel Strategy, Performance KPI’s, and goals to achieve annual growth targets
    •Develops sales, distribution, and promotional strategies based on analysis, customer demographics, and consumer insights
    •Procures, manages, and reviews data sources relevant to sales teams’ successes with sales leadership team to convert insights into actions for distributor presentations
    •Provides vision and goals to KA team as well as communicating objectives and progress
    •Develops and leverages understanding of targeted commercial and craft segment to drive understanding of customer issues and potential solutions, leading to becoming supplier of choice for key and strategic customers
    •Responsible for staffing projections and budgeting within team to maximize future growth
    •Develops and implements account level survey process to ensure accurate pricing and programs (if applicable) are being executed
    •Maintains account profile and customer data base
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •National Off Premises Key Account Manager
    •National On Premises Key Accounts Manager

    •Must possess a valid driver’s license

    MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
    •Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Demonstrated knowledge of chain environment and three tier system
    •Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with top level account decision makers, distributors, and all internal stakeholders
    •Ability to analyze, problem solve, make decisions, and conduct quantitative analysis to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities
    •Demonstrated coaching and team building skills
    •Demonstrated ability to think strategically
    •Demonstrated in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    •Ability to work independent and be self-motivated
    •Excellent communication skills , both oral and written, influencing and interpersonal skills to build relationship and collaboration across different departments, sometimes virtually
    •Strong organizational & planning skills
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration or other related fields preferred
    •Minimum 10 years Industry Sales experience, CPG or retail industry, Shopper/Consumer Insights, Strategic selling and Marketing preferred
    •Chain Selling experience required
    •Demonstrated experience coaching and leading teams required
    •In depth knowledge of Off and On Premise Regional and National Account Management, Shopper Marketing and Insights
    •High level of craft beer product knowledge

    •Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
    •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 58 lbs.
    •Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
    •Must be able to participate in critical assessment of beers
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    •The ability to travel via car or airplane on a regular basis.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    •The work environment is usually an office environment.
    •Regular visits to bars, restaurants, and other retailers of Bell’s beer are required.
    •Attends beer industry conferences.
    •Travel is required.
