Job Overview
RiverBend Brewing is looking for a high energy and self-motivated person to expand sales in Portland and SW Washington. Sales Representatives are responsible for growing the company’s portfolio and engaging consumers through point of sale, identifying new markets, and business opportunities to increase market share while building and maintaining relationships with accounts and retailers.
Job Responsibilities
• Visit assigned retail accounts to sell volume, increase distribution, monitor price and shelf space management
• Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales • Increase shelf space and position for our products
• Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends. Keep a detailed log of weekly visits and a master copy of all accounts and buyers.
• Participate in new product launch events including tastings. The beer industry is meant to be fun!
• Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history and reports
• Attend sales meetings to discuss sales issues, competitive activities, and opportunities to maximize sales efforts (this includes meeting with our distributers)
• Represent RiverBend Brewing through promotions and company events. You’re the face of the company, make us proud!
Qualification
• A bachelor's degree or comparable professional experience
• At least one year experience in adult beverage sales preferred
• Excellent customer service
• High organization and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills and well versed in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work nights and weekend (minimum of 50 hrs. a week)
• Passion for craft beer
