Little Harpeth Brewing focuses on producing German-inspired craft lagers in Nashville, TN.
We operate a very unique 30BBL brewhouse (including mash mixers and a cereal cooker) and focus on creating balanced beers by incorporating American craft flavors into traditional German-styled beers. We are four years old and hungry to grow our reach across Tennessee and the Southeast. We also operate a taproom and music venue with a 500 person capacity within our brewery space.
We are growing in Nashville and expanding within the Knoxville and Chattanooga markets, which necessitates an additional member on our production team to keep up with our growing sales. We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, beer-loving brewer with professional brewing experience.
Job Description:
- initially 30hrs/week
- cellar work; transfers, tank cleaning, readings, fining/carbonating
- keg cleaning
- brew day prep; weighing/grinding grain, weighing hops, recipe preparation
- packaging; kegging, working on canning line
- brewing; willingness to learn our decoction mashing, ability to meticulously follow mashing, boiling, & hopping schedules
Requirements:
- ability to lift 55lb grain bags and occasionally 160lbs kegs with other team members
- capable of standing for 8-10hrs while carrying raw materials and moving up and down stairs
- capable of working in outdoor temperatures during summer months in Tennessee
- 3 years home brewing experience
- 1 year professional brewing experience
- passion and desire to create quality beers that are unique to the American craft beer industry
- Microsoft excel skills
- comfort with working irregular hours based on production schedule/needs (minimum 30hrs/week)
