    Passionate, dedicated, hard working South Jersey brewster looking to transition from FOH to BOH in surrounding area. Two years experience managing brewery tasting room, completed Siebel Institute’s Brewing Technology program, over 140 intern hours assisting on 50bbl Braukon brew house operations including 1bbl pilot system, and currently studying for Cicerone levels.     Tun Tavern Restaurant & Brewery

    Tun Tavern is a brewpub in the heart of Atlantic City, New Jersey operating on an oversized 10 barrel NSI system looking for a talented brewer to manage and maintain current production. Tun Tavern is celebrating it’s 20th year in operation as a brewpub and is still the only brewery located in Atlantic City. This individual should be future minded with expansion on the horizon.

    Job Description:
    The Head Brewer will be working with the Tun Tavern’s Management Team to produce a clean and exquisite restaurant and brewery experience. The main responsibilities of the Head Brewer are to produce and manage wort from grain to glass. Other tasks involved in the position involve lifting, moving, pulling, pushing and tapping 35lb+ cases of bottles and cans, moving full kegs onto and off of pallets, climbing ladders, working with chemicals, and working in a team environment. Members of the Tun Tavern team should have a generally positive attitude and keeping an immaculately clean work space. Tun Tavern team members should expect between 35-45 hours of work per week. Full time employees are eligible for benefits including health insurance, shift meals, and paid vacation following a probationary period.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Wort production on a 10 barrel NSI brewhouse
    Recipe Development
    CIP and COP of fermentation vessels and brewhouse
    Yeast handling
    Transferring beer from fermentation to serving tanks
    Assisting the management team in future expansion plans and goals
    Participate in Team Meetings
    Inventory, Administrative, and Tax work related to Tun Tavern
    Adhere to all safety protocols set in place by Tun Tavern
    Training all FOH employees on general beer knowledge

    Required Minimum Qualifications:
    Be at least 21 years of age
    High School Degree
    Two or more years brewing at a similarly sized craft brewery
    Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
    Able to lift 35lbs; able to move 55lbs using tools such as a hand truck
    Able to kneel and stoop occasionally.
    Able to stand and work for up to 12 hours at a time
