The Brooklyn Brewery is searching for an experienced Brewer/Cellar Operator to join the team at our facility in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are looking for someone who is energetic, passionate about high-quality craft beer, and willing to work hard. Job Summary:
A Brewer/Cellar Operator is responsible for the production of our beers and will complete all facets of the brewing process including brew house operations, fermentation monitoring, dry-hopping, centrifuge operation, filtration, blending, carbonation etc.
What we’re looking for:
1+ years of professional brewing experience
Familiarity with automated process control systems
Strong work ethic
Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail and commitment quality
Willingness to work on rotating shift schedule (24hr. production)
Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping and systems strongly preferred
Someone who takes initiative in addressing problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical demands:
Lift 60 pounds
Maneuver 55 gallon drums between pallets safely
Work at height
Operate a forklift and powered hand truck
