Cellar Person
Wise Man Brewing is looking for an experienced full-time Cellar Person. This key member of the team will be responsible for assisting with all aspects in the production area from pre-brewing to packaging.
Job Description
Daily activities include the following, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the overall operation of the brewery and packaging equipment
• Perform beer transfers, carbonation, kegging and a variety of sanitation and cleaning tasks such as fermenter and other tank CIP/sanitation, keg washing, parts cleaning, floor scrubbing, and other housekeeping items
• Assist with production including preparing ingredients, i.e. milling grain, weighing hops, dry hopping, yeast handling, disposal of spent grain
• Work to produce and package quality beer according to our standard operating procedures and parameters
• Maintain highest level of sanitation and safety throughout the production area
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas
Required Qualifications
• Candidates must have experience in a production brewery
• Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail and quality
• Flexibility to work additional hours and days that deviate from regular work schedules
• Ability to handle up to 165 lbs kegs and 55 lbs bags of grain
• Ability to think creatively and bring new ideas to the table
