Farmboy Brew Shop in Houston Texas is looking for a couple of people to fill our ranks. We are looking for a full time person to manage a store and a part time person to fill in the schedule.
You must be passionate about home brewing beer or wine and be ready to answer all sorts of questions from new and veteran brewers. Customer service is extremely important to us and is one of our core ideals. Retail experience is a plus. You must have a good amount of homebrew experience.
Overview of Company:
We are a small business looking to advance the craft of brewing beer, making wine, cheese, cider, kombucha, kefir and other fermentables at home. We have been in operation for just over 3 years. Landon and Natalie Weiershausen are the owners behind Farmboy Brew Shop. Landon was raised on a cotton farm in West Texas which is how the name for the shop was coined. He has been an avid beer brewer for over nine years quickly moving from extract to all grain within his first month of brewing. We want this shop to get people excited about fermenting beverages at home and look forward to interacting with a wide variety of characters who also love everything homebrew!
Job Duties:
• Part Time or Full Time, with other opportunities as the company grows
• Customer Service and Sales (PRIORITY)
• Filling Recipe Orders
• Answering Phones
• Stocking/Receiving Inventory, must be able to lift full grain sacks (55 lbs)
• Repackaging of Kits/Ingredients
• Point of Sale Operation
• Cash Drawer Responsibilities
• General Store Upkeep (sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, windows, bathrooms)
• Participate in Marketing Events
• Fulfillment of Online Orders
Retail Sales Skills and Qualifications:
Homebrew Knowledge (Priority), General Craft Beer Knowledge, Product Knowledge, Teamwork, Customer Service (Priority), Multi-tasking, Problem Solving, Customer Focus, Cleanliness, Trustworthy, Hardworking, Good with Names/Faces, Draft Beer System Knowledge
