    Just in time for the July legalization of recreational marijuana in Canada, Cask Global Canning Solutions -- the company that invented micro-canning equipment for craft brewers -- is announcing a new canning system for marijuana dispensaries.

    “We put the can in craft beer,” says Cask founder Peter Love. “Now we’re putting the can in the cannabis industry. We have very high expectations for our new canning line,” Love says bluntly.

    Thought I was reading The Onion!

    This has been done before, believe it or not. Mostly with "tin" type "soup" cans. Saw it in Netherlands years ago with a compactor device to stuff as much as possible into the can before seaming. Aluminum cans must have carbonation to support the can's structure. Non-pressurized aluminum cans just won't work for dry items.

      It was a pretty obvious April Fools joke, but I still laughed at this line. But pot jokes are always funny.
