Departed Soles in Jersey City, New Jersey (3 blocks from the PATH Train to New York City), is adding to our award winning team!

We are looking for a passionate, creative, hard working individual to become one of our Co-Tasting Room Managers and join our cellar family.

These individuals work off of a 14 day schedule, inclusive of 5 nights running our tasting room, and 4 days working on the production side of things, with 5 days off. Our new team member would work every other weekend, while receiving a 3 day weekend off on the subsequent one. This position has a base salary, commensurate with experience, revenue sharing from the tasting room performance, and receives a portion of tips each night in the tasting room. Currently no benefits are provided.

Tasting Room responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Full Set Up/Break Down of the Tasting Room each shift
            Draft Line Maintenance
            Training/Scheduling of the TR Team
Creating & Executing Tasting Room Events (yoga, live music, trivia, etc.)
Coordinating Table Reservations and Private Parties
            Providing Tours to guests
            Bartending

Cellar Duties include, but are not limited to:
            Brewery Maintenance
            Large Scale Brew Day Assistance
Small Scale Pilot System brew days
Packaging run assistance (canning, kegging, bottling)
            Executing CIP Procedures
            Prepping grain bills
            Mashing In/Out
            Packaging run setup
            Keg Cleaning

In our efforts to build a true, cross-competent team, the individual that joins our team in this capacity will occasionally be asked to help with sales, deliveries, festivals, and outside events. They will also be given the ability to join the creative process for new beers and put their stamp on the future of our brewery. As they grow with the team, brewing their own recipes on our pilot system, with the potential to be scaled up, are certainly in line.

Due to the manufacturing nature of our industry, the ideal candidate will be hard-working, fast, and confident in their abilities. A working knowledge of brewing processes and procedures is a plus. They must be able to spend a day on their feet and calmly deal with all aspects of customer service in a professional manner. The ability to move full kegs around safely is necessary.

If you think you're the right fit to join our family, send your resume AND cover letter to Manager@DepartedSoles.com today! Interviews will begin on July 26th at our brewery, during the hours of 9-5pm. Prospective individuals will be asked to work a canning day and tasting room shift prior to being hired, to experience what a day in our brewery is like, and get a taste for if they enjoy our culture, beer, and customers!
