Millstream Brewing Company in beautiful Amana, Iowa is looking for an assistant brewer. As assistant brewer, not only will you be afforded the opportunity to learn from someone with over 20 years in the industry, but also stack grain, bottle, and clean. But the truly amazing part of this position is the opportunity to create new, small batch recipes on our 55 gallon pilot system, and show them off at tastings, for the purpose of enhancing our brewery’s image.
Now for the requirements; physically able to lift 50 pound malt bags repeatedly, work in hot or cold environments, and handle repeated motion during bottling. Creativity and an eye for detail are a must, as well as a certain level of professionalism. The right applicant will play well with others and have a good instinct for beer style trends. Experience, either professional or avid home brewing, is a huge plus. We are a tight knit group with a great reputation and will welcome the right brewer into our family.
