Position Summary: The Head brewer will lead the brewing, cellaring and packaging operations. He/she will also be an essential part of the R&D team as new styles are developed. The ideal candidate must have great teamwork and communication skills, as well as self-motivated and driven.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Proper use of safety protocols and common sense for all functions
- Perform and assist in brewing multiple styles of beer and Kombucha
- Perform cellar maintenance duties
- Responsible for CIPs and sanitation
- Package the product in kegs, cans and bottles
- Operate a forklift as required and load finished product on trucks
- Maintain and update brewing and packaging records in the ERP system
- Perform Quality checks throughout the process
- Attend and contribute to production meetings
- Be flexible for anything that comes up during the day with an open-minded, positive approach
- Basic utility and process equipment troubleshooting
Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 55lbs above shoulder
- Full physical capability to perform the job duties
- Two year minimum experience working in a brewery
- Strong brewing knowledge
- Formal brewing education and home brewing background are a plus
