    Sweeten Creek Brewing is looking to add a self-motivated Sales and Event Coordinator to our team. SCB is a brewery with sandwich shop and large green space located just outside of downtown Asheville NC.     Job Title: Sales and Event Coordinator

    Wage: Hourly DOE

    Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

    Status: Part Time Start with Quick Full Time Potential

    Summary: The ideal candidate will be an energetic, friendly, motivated, outgoing, well organized and hardworking individual who takes initiative and possesses the ability to multitask.

    Our ideal candidate will:

    • Have strong love for craft beer/food and a desire to continuously learn about changing trends within the craft beer industry
    • Have passion for craft beer culture and be willing to represent it in interactions with customers and potential clients
    • Display a sense of urgency and self-starting personality and attention to detail; we work in a fast paced environment that is constantly changing
    • Have a positive and professional attitude with our crew and our guests
    • Be friendly, genuine and always put the guest first
    • Be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and remain cheery
    • Be willing to take direction and complete all tasks fully and on time


    Requirements

    • Passionate about craft beer and food
    • At least two years of sales experience in the Craft Brewing or beverage industry
    • Strong knowledge of craft beer industry and working knowledge of food service industry
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Strong event planning and organizational skills
    • Works with and independently from our distributor to acquire and manage on and off Premise accounts
    • Plans and executes On and Off Premise promotions including Pint Nights, brewery events and beer releases
    • Responsible for effectively communicating information with distribution partners in order to keep product fresh and relevant.
    • Assumes a leadership role in implementing key brewery initiatives with distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs in area
    • Performs regular quality control checks of on- and off-premise accounts, and distribution warehouses to ensure freshness, and high quality standards of our beers.
    • Communicates and exhibits the values of SCB to distribution and retail account personnel
    • Communicates with marketing and social media director in timely manner to insure proper time for promotion of upcoming events
    • Communicates with Tasting Room manager to insure proper scheduling of staff for special event and promotional events
    • Interacts with current customers on social media accounts and suggests and implements ways to attract new guests, such as promotions and competitions
    • Communicates POS needs for Distributor with Marketing Director
    • Inventory/Ordering/Organization of POS materials and Promo Merchandise in a coordinated effort with distributor needs
    • Weekly reports submitted to COO detailing current and projected sales.
    • To be successful in this position, you must possess an excellent work ethic, a reliable attendance record, strong attention to detail, and be capable of consistently performing quality work while working quickly in an environment that is often full of distractions
    • Working Special events at brewery and away from brewery on week nights and weekend days/nights required

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend, push, pull, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis for periods of up to 10 hours a day
    • Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period of time

    Qualifications:
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
    • Must have exceptional communication skills.
    • A temperament for working in a family and dog friendly environment.
    • Possess a can do work ethic.
    • Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of position description.
    • Attention to detail, communication and organizational skills a must
    • Ability to troubleshoot draft system issues on and off-premise.



    Education and/or Experience:
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing preferred
    • Two years of industry or related field experience
    • Craft Beer industry experience preferred
    • Experience with all forms of social media and an ability to use appropriately and responsibly
