i have been a home brewer for the past five years. i am planing to build a one hecto liter fermenter. so far these are my thoughts:
1) D to H ratio of 1:1 or less. the H being equal to or less then D.
2) 60' cone
3) the H of the cone being .866 of the D
4) 25% head space
5) pressure release valve
6) butterfly or ball valve dump at 1"
7) top man way

can anybody point the flaws in this design and improve upon it please!!
