  • Helium In beer?

Just saw the stupid commercial and wondered....
Turns out the solubility of helium (in water) is way low .0016 g/kg vs 2.5 g/kg at 10c. (at sea level ie. Standard Conditions) Might be able to fill the headspace with enough to get the voice effect though, if you could get it to your mouth before it dissapated.

(Boy- I need to get back to work!! )

    Hydrogen

I had heard of Hydrogen in a beer (of Japanese origin), don't know if it was an urban legend though. Not sure what the solubility is of hydrogen, but it would also have the same effect on ones voice. Great for singing karaoke. Just don't smoke!

      ohh yeah pressure

even though the solubility in water is low it increases as pressure increases. I think those graphs are at standard pressure.
