  • Best drinking snack

Ok what do you think makes the best item to serv as a snack at a bar to acompany beer (no restaurant just bar food)? I am leaning toward peanuts and pickled eggs.

    Cheers,

    Pretzel Logic

How about "gourmet" soft pretzels? You might be able to find not just sourdough, but wheat, rye or some of the various styles that bagels come in - onion/garlic for example. Offer a variety of mustards and dipping sauces - maybe a kick-ass crab dip.

Nothing will ever beat peanuts in popularity. I worked at a large retail liquor store for a few years, we would buy $10k worth every week.

But pickeled eggs are great, put them in beet juice.

Popcorn is America’s snack! We serve it during our happy hour, it is inexpensive and simple to make and store.

In Upstate NY, these things called chicken wings are very popular.

"These things called chicken wings"??? Not only are they popular here in upstate NY, they are life for some of us. Chicken wing fanatics are everywhere!!! Deep fried to a crisp, tossed in hot sauce....mmmmm soooo good, and they are great with beer! Especially a nice hoppy pale ale or IPA. Once you have wings, beer, and a Sunday afternoon full of football and friends, you may never be the same.

Freshly fried chips & malt vinegar.
Tortilla chips (preferably freshly fried) and cheese dip.
..and don't forget the Missouri Backwoods favorite, Squirrelheads and gravy.
...of course you know you can only drink Budweiser with your squirrelheads!

                            Spice It Up!

We serve wasabi crusted peanuts. They definitely make you want to drink some more beer to put out the small fire in your mouth!
