    "walk in" cooler sizing

I'm curious as to how other packaging breweries size their walk in cooler space. Since our distributor is just across town from us, I'm thinking that if we have enough storage space to hold two fermenters full of beer in kegs or bottles, we should have sufficient storage space. I'm not expecting that we'll be storing very much product for long periods of time.

Along similar lines, how many cases of long neck 'heritage' type bottles fit safely on a single pallet. How many pallets can you stack safely?

    Thanks,

    Steve,

I thought the same thing. Technically our cooler can hold about two days of production. But it depends on how many different brands you have and how many different distributors. I wish our cooler was bigger now. As far as stacking, our distributors regulary stack as high as four high, maybe more. When you say Heritage bottles, I think of the short stubby bottles not long-necks. With our heritage bottles, we get 70 cases, 10 on a layer.
