  • Chemistry of Hop Roots

    Has anyone ever studied the chemistry of hop roots? I imagine it would be interesting. Since hops are a long-lived perrenial with fairly fleshy roots, what chemicals would be in the roots to inhibit bacteria, fungi, and things that want to eat it? I extracted native NA roots and Euro roots- the resultants looked very different. I have the extracts- just need the testing equip.
    Any clues?
