Question:
I'm short on Hallertau hops. I have 2# and need 3.25# for my bittering batch.
Going to try filling in with Mt. Hood. The Hallertau is 2.1%: the Mt. Hood is 4.2%; so I'm going with 10 oz of the Mt. Hood to sub for the 1.25# of Hallertau.
I have enough Hallertau for the flavoring hop addition at the end of my boil.
who thinks I can get away with it? how's the math sound?
Cheers
