  • Sinamar in the Brite

    Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has ever added Sinamar in the brite to darken a beer and if so how much did you use and how did it mix in with your finished product. I have a fifteen BBl batch of Alt that is not dark enough for my liking and I'm thinking about darkening it up. Thanks for any tips you can give me.

I did once. Dosed a corny until i found my usage rate, multiplied that by tank volume, added that to the corney and blew into the BBT.

I was just trying to darken a scottish a shade, i think i about a cup in 10 BBL's, if i remember correctly. Just err on the side of caution, you can always add more.

Well according to the Weyermann web site:

"In order to raise the color of 1 hl beer though 1 EBC, 14 gr. of SINAMARĀ® is required."
