  • Bourbon barrel beers........

OK, just getting ready to put on a bourbon barrel aged stout on tap!! This is a first for me and just started wondering if the flavor is going to be so strong that I wont be able to get it out of my line?? My lines are all ran insulated and glycol wraped so pulling the line is going to be almost impossible. If I can just use a couple of cleaning cycles I dont think that will be a problem then?? Any feedback would be appreciated

When I put my bourbon barrel aged Imperial Stout on, I had no problems with subsequent beers tasting like that beer. I just cleaned my lines like I normally do, and there was no flavor carry over at all.

      Ditto

Bourbon beers should be fine. Acidic fruits and fruit extracts, including hot peppers, are the only things i personally have ever had a problem with tainting lines.
