  • Kiln Coffee

I've got 27.5 lbs of kiln coffee I don't really need. I've got a scotch ale and a porter to make. Use it? Which one? Thanks

Maybe a tiny amount in the Scotch. Kiln Coffee has a real burnt, acrid, expresso flavor to it. Even in small amounts it can be a bit much...

          I say sex it up.
Who cares what the beer weenies say about "true to style", no matter what you put in it, it ain't Scotch unless you bring all your stuff to Scotland. I personally prefer American beer to anything, unfortunately, as sexy as US beer has become, it still (in name) has an econo-industrial connotation.
