Anyone got any recommendations on how much lactose per barrel to use in a cream (milk) stout?

I've always used about 50 pounds in a 15 bbl. batch. I think this is just the right amount.

It depends on what you're looking for. I like to taste it so I add a lot. I have added asw much as 75 lbs in a seven barrel batch and loved it. But you could REALLY taste it!. I've seen beer recipes that have more than this. If you want to taste it, don't be scared to dump it in.
