Schenk DE filter

Has anyone on the forum ever seen or used a schenk de filter? The dosing pump is seperate from the plates,which are vertical(like most plate/frame filters). Its a very interesting filter.

Has anyone ever seen or used one of these?

Just treat it exactly as you would any plate and frame KG filter, adjusting flow rates to suit the filtration surface area. I haven't used a P&F with this little filtraion area, but have used everything from 40 cm to 100 cm, and the basic principles of cleaning, sterilisation, preparation and actual filtration do not change

I've got loads of info on basic operations if you haven't got the instruction manual / anyone to show you how to use these things properly

I'd be interested in any reference material for plate and frame operations (sorry to jump in here). We're still refining the process in our new brewery and the last place I was at really didn't have a clue. It might be nice to see how it's supposed to be done. If you have any materials and/or links that would be great.
