  • ASBC NW Local Section 7 Winter 2010 Workshop

The American Society of Brewing Chemists Northwest Local Section announces an afternoon workshop on beer bitterness at Astoria-Pacific Corporation, Clackamas, OR on Sunday January 17, 2010 from 1-5pm.

Astoria-Pacific’s Steve Stadlmann will explain his company’s instrumentation and we’ll have a chance to share how/whether we run bitterness, IBU tips & tricks and related topics like the Dry Hop study, currently underway as an ASBC Technical Subcommittee.

Similar to last year’s ASBC Local Section workshop on Total Air Measurement at Widmer Brothers Brewing, this year’s participants will have the opportunity to run 4-6 of their own samples, get hands-on experience with the procedure, and walk away with results.

Technology background and application notes are at Astoria-Pacific’s website.-
