  • Zymocytometer cover slips

We are currently using regular cover slips on our Zymocytometer. The last place I worked we had special cover slips with truncated corners and that cost a lot more. I was wondering if anyone knew if we are introducing a lot of error into our cell counts by using regular slips instead of the special ones?

P.S. our fermentations are consistent and strong so it is more a matter of curiosity.

      cover slips

The cover slips for counting chambers are thicker and they keep a more constant level above the chamber. That makes sure that you get the exact amount of liquid in the chamber for counting because they won't sag
