A leader in marketing and selling specialty and imported beer in the United States, North American Breweries imports and markets Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light, the No. 1 & No. 2 Canadian beers in the U.S., along with Genesee, Magic Hat, Pyramid and the Dundee family of craft beers, Seagram’s Coolers and other specialty and imported brands.
DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Coordinator is the key position in each brewery location that is responsible for production scheduling, timely movement of all direct/raw materials from vendors into the site and inbound movement of finished goods from other production sources. In addition this position will be accountable for maintaining accurate inventories of both direct/raw and finished goods within the facility, including insuring OTIFNE target is achieved.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Create packaging and brewing schedules
Creation/entry and maintenance of all plant purchase order releases from vendors in the ERP system
Creation/Entry and maintenance of all production work orders in the ERP system
Manage ERP receipt of finished goods and consumption of direct/raw materials
Maintain, reconcile, and achieve accurate inventories of all direct, raw, and finished goods.
Monitor demand forecast and ERP planning workbench to insure orders are fulfilled
Monitor, track and report vendor performance and material QA. This includes processing bill-backs for substandard materials.
Manage inter-site transfer of direct materials and finished goods to meet demand
Coordinate dock schedule for both inbound and outbound movement
Oversee inbound receipt of finished goods into onsite redistribution centers
Monitor age inventory reports
Coordinate movement of MicroStar cooperage in/out of the facility.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/EDUCATION
Education:
2 year degree in Business, Accounting or Operations Management or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS certifications desired
Experience:
5 or more years experience in a similar position, preferably in a fast paced manufacturing environment with multiple product lines.
Proven ability to achieve superior results
Proven experience in production and distribution management
Technical competencies:
Analytical skills
High proficiency with ERP process
High proficiency in computer office applications (excel, word, file archive/maintenance)
Manufacturing process flow
Change management
Multi-tasking and detail oriented
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Exposure to manufacturing environment with a variety of temperatures, noise levels, and general ambient activity.
Awareness of and adherence to standard IBU safety requirements necessary.
Infrequent travel required to breweries to participate in planning, and / or periodic performance and coordination meetings required.
