Fish Tale Brewing is seeking a General/Plant Manager to oversee the operations of its brewery in Olympia, Washington. Fish Brewing was established in 1993 and is one of the fastest growing breweries in Washington state producing several beer and cider brands. Current production level is approximately 15,000 barrels. Ideally, the candidate must possess a unique mix of high level brewing and engineering skills, plant and pub management experience, financial knowledge to reduce costs and improve productivity and the willingness to institute change.
Job duties include the supervision of the on-site pub manager, head brewer and packaging manager. The successful candidate will manage the day to day operations of the brewery, review processing schedules, hire and train employees, order raw materials and packaging, coordinate and manage facility and equipment maintenance, monitor product standards, ensure a safe, sanitary and healthy workplace, and work with upper management in the development of procedures, policies and budgets. It is expected that the qualified applicant will have at least 3-5 years experience in the beer industry, display proven leadership, communication, coaching and interpersonal skills, and must be a proactive initiator able to work in a team environment.
