Job Purpose:
Manage the development of the Import, Craft, and Specialty Beer Brands for three Anheuser-Busch wholesalers in Washington, DC, Annapolis, MD and Montgomery County, Maryland.
Duties:
-Design, coordinate, and execute marketing programs and sales incentives within these companies.
-Find, establish and cultivate brand sponsorships of several regional festivals including the National Cherry Blossom Festival and Washingtonian’s Best of Washington.
-Manage our brand’s image and presence within these festivals through proper execution.
-Work with national brand teams to develop marketing programs and capitalize on brand sponsorships and media presence.
-Solicit funding from the brand teams for local marketing programs.
-Identify distribution opportunities and develop target account lists.
-Conduct sales calls with area managers place products in key accounts.
-Plan and execute promotional activities such as beer dinners in key accounts.
-Create and implement weekly educational seminars for wholesaler’s sales force; stressing brand education and pairing brand’s attributes with account specific needs.
-Provide Sales team with the essential selling tools by managing inventories for glassware, point of sale, product samples, and creating sell sheets and educational material.
-Work with sales managers and area managers to determine proper inventory levels, and ordering of new/seasonal products.
-Work extensively with sales staff and management to ensure that each brand is represented in the market following the overall brand strategy.
-Understand beer consumers, consumption occasions and emerging trends that are impacting the beer industry.
Applicant will be asked to:
-Be both self-sufficient and willing to work closely with others.
-Provide some general knowledge of beer or the beverage industry.
-Be willing to learn quickly in a fast paced environment.
-Provide a valid driver’s license that is in good standing.
-Provide a clean driving record and clear a background check before employment.
-Be willing to have a flexible work schedule (some nights and weekends).
