I know that larger breweries like anheuser busch use anaerobic treatment for wastewater but thats because they can afford it. Microbreweries on the other hand can't justify spending up to and even more than a million dollars on this type of technology though it is useful, its just not cost effective (correct me if im wrong). So how do microbreweries treat their waste water? do they sent it to an offsite treatment plant or do they use aerobic treatment? For now i have been assuming that they simply just dump it out into sewers but pay a fee to do so. Any help would be useful. thanks!
