    Craft Brewers Alliance, Inc. representing high quality hand crafted beers with a portfolio from Widmer Brothers Brewing Company, Redhook Ale Brewery and Kona Brewing Co. has an immediate opening at the Redhook Ale Brewery in Woodinville, WA for a Brewing Operations Manager. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Brewing Operations Manager position is responsible for managing and leading the Brewhouse, Cellars and Finishing operations.

    Specific duties include:
    • Support Craft Brewers Alliance Company Values
    • Ensure beer is produced as scheduled throughout the process to meet packaging demands
    • Work with Technical Director Brewing to source raw materials
    • Hire, train and develop department staff
    • Proactively interact across department lines of Quality, Packaging and Maintenance to ensure product meets desired specifications
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Ensure a safe working environment and supports Safety improvements
    • Identify cost-saving initiatives (beer & material loss, brewing efficiencies, etc.) and develop corrective actions plans
    • Maintain Brewing areas at a tour-ready state

    Position Requirements:
    • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Four-year college degree in brewing or a brewing-related field. Professional certification from AOB, IBD or similar preferred.
    • 3 years of brewing industry experience.
    • Strong skills in technical aspects of brewing, beer finishing, project management, leadership, and personnel development.
    • Proven abilities in hiring, training and management of production and technical personnel.
    • Technical and analytical skills adequate to effectively resolve beer production, quality, and employee performance issues.
    • Sound technical knowledge of brewing raw materials and components.
    • Experience in motivating staff to achieve goals; ability to develop and manage productive relationships with staff and peers locally and remotely.
    • A strong working knowledge of GMP, OSHA, HAACP and TTB regulations
    • Successful candidate will be able to provide a wide range of multi-disciplined business and operational services while displaying integral personal, training, facilitation and overall verbal/written communication skills.
