  • Free info on tonnage vs horse power-form JC Younger Company, to help you brewers out!

I have been receiving many phone calls lately from different brewery’s, and have been finding there to be a lot of misunderstanding about chiller tonnage and horse power.

The typical rule of thumb with chillers in the brewery field and there crash temps is:
take the horse power of the Compressor and cut it in half to equal your tonnage capacity.

This will give you the ball park range of what cooling you can get.

The horse power of the compressor is totally different than the tonnage you will get.

If you have any questions regarding chillers, purchasing a chiller, or upgrading your current system with a very durable/reliable (J C Younger system/chiller), feel free to drop me a line and i will try to get you some answers!
