  • burner combustion efficiency

Mad River Brewing is improving our fuel efficiency on our kettle burner. Is there an industry standard rate of combustion efficiency we can compare to help us qualify for an incentive grant from our utility provider? The ugly burner we have now is rated at 800,000 btu and the kettle is 18 Bbbl with a diameter of 5'. The wort inters the kettle at approx 150 degrees f. We will replace this burner with one that burns at 400,000 btus. The incentive program will not let us use our old burner ratings to qualify and asks us to provide an "industry standard " to compare the new burner against and show why this new unit is more efficient. Anyone know how to determine this factor?
