  • Brewers Report of Operations

Doing my first brewers report of operations -

Read through posts here to discover that "beer" is not beer until it's carbonated - well, that makes things a lot easier - don't know why the TTB couldn't say that on their example form...

Figured it out to part 3 - what does...

    2. Wort received and used
    3. Wort removed

    mean....?

I believe that would refer to Wort that you received from another facility and then fermented on site. Or Wort you produced and sent somewhere else. So for most of us it doesn't really apply.

But that's just how I've always read that. If someone out there knows better, please correct me!

Oh - OK - so does that also apply to hops and grain for that section - section 3?

I was taught to put down the hops and Malt (which I write-in in one of the blank spaces) that I used to produce all of my beer for that month. Just a grand total for pounds of hops used and pounds of Malt used.

I don't know if that's actually correct but it's what I've been doing for the last 10 years...

This is the best instruction sheet they have come up with to date...
