  • Advice for kegging cider??

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as how to properly keg half barrel sized kegs? In the past I have purged and filled 5 gallon soda kegs and after chilling, pressurized them with Co2 and shook them up to carbonate. Obviously not an option this time, do I transfer already carbonated cider from a brite tank to the keg? Any advice appreciated.

    Just do it like beer.

Or, if that's not detailed enough:

Clean and sanitize your kegs, purge and pressurize. Use a filler head or remove the backflows from a regular tavern head and bee careful (buzbuz). Attach brite tank liquid out to keg liquid out and slowly open the gas-in on the keg side.

Stick the thing on a scale before you start so you know when you're getting close.
