  • Starting a Micro Brewery

I'm in the early stages of a start up microbrewery. I've never done commercial brewing, however, I have done large batches of homebrew. I was looking for some advice to the start up size? I was thinking 7 BBL would be a great starting point. Are there turn key set ups or is it better to buy used, and individually put it all together?

Also, where do you find commercial grain mills? Thanks.
If it tastes good, drink it.

There are a ton of thread on this, you may want to do a search. Basic answers with out a lot of info from your question is that most places recommend 10-15bbl systems for a micro at a minimum, and when you buy a new system, they almost all provide all you'll need, mill, brewhouse, fermenters, brite tanks, hoses, etc. If you buy used, you'll have to do it piecemeal and find what you can here or on other random sites that sell used equipment. Your question is a very complicated one that I've spent years researching at this point, and I got a LOT of great information here by searches, reading old posts, etc.

The search tool is your friend.

Used equipment is not the easiest thing to come across these days.
