    Full-Time Brewer Wanted

    Opportunity Description
LCCB is a production brewery located directly between Richmond and Charlottesville, Virginia. We have the privilege of being located on an active 221 acre farm. The brewery will be housed in a newly built, Virginia Farm-Style building containing a new direct fire JVNW 20 barrel system. LCCB seeks an individual with a minimum of 2 years of production brewing experience. We prefer a candidate with versatility in many beer styles, and experience with producing bottle-conditioned and barrel aged beers. We will be opening in January 2013.

This is a unique opportunity to start at the very beginning of what is sure to be an amazing adventure. Via our seasonal and bi-seasonal releases, we will be constantly exploring the variations in beer and pursuing the next great recipe. We are a small batch, quality dedicated farm brewery that promises to provide new flavor experiences to our markets and to explore the boundaries of beer production.

    Necessary Qualifications:
    • Minimum of two years experience at a well known and respected production brewery (this requirement is non-negotiable)
    • Professional qualifications from an established brewing educational program (UC Davis, VLB, Siebel, Heriot-Watt, Doemens, ABG, etc)
    • Experience with bottle-conditioned and barrel aged beers
    • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple brewing styles and to create delicious and interesting new recipes
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Must be comfortable following Standard Operating Procedures
    • Experience operating a forklift
    • Physical ability to lift 55 lbs. to shoulder height repeatedly, stand for long periods of time, and maneuver beer kegs (165 lbs.) around the facility.
    • Computer literate – Preferably experienced with Microsoft Office and SAP
    • Commitment to continuous improvement
    • Displays meticulous attention to detail
    • Functions well as a team player
    • Ability to maintain high quality standards without direct supervision
    • Complete schedule availability and willingness to work flexible hours
    • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment

Compensation will be determined by education, training and experience.
