My employer has asked me to build a business plan for a brewery and he wants to hit the ground running by setting up a R&D system and creating a whole bunch of batches before the physical and permanent brewery is set up and functioning. Without going into extensive details about the overall business plan I wanted to get your opinions on if it would be better to purchase a small one or two barrel system or to buy a bunch of smaller components to put together a R&D system (think home brewing on steroids - conical fermenters, etc.).
Systems and equipment I've found thus far:
2.5 bll brew house: http://www.criveller.com/product.php?id=000000155
Smaller Components: http://www.psychobrewllc.com/pages/systems.html
Our plans aren't to use this to brew and distribute, but to get things moving forward before we scale up for distribution. Thank you for your input.
