  • Production Scheduling - Any Suggestions

Just wondering what methods or software others are using for production scheduling? We currently use the same dry erase calendar we've been using for the past three years but between two brewhouses and 23 FVs spread over 2 facilities it's getting to be a little too difficult to read. We don't need any of the full featured hugely expensive software packages out there but something able to be viewed and changed online and emailed out to the production, cellar and packaging guys would be great. I'm trying to set up a Google calendar which may work better but seems like it may be a little cumbersome to use as well. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Production Planning Software

We just visited Ska Brewing and they have been using/testing a program called "Beer Run" for the past year or so. From what I can tell, they have worked most of the kinks and are now really happy with it.

We're now looking into using it ourselves.

That sounds like a good application for linear programming.
