Looking to fill a full-time head brewer position in a start-up brewpub in Sioux Fall, SD. It is attached to one of the best beer bars in the state. We are looking for a candidate that has:
* Prefer a minimum of 1 year brewing experience, but not required.
* Strong mechanical background.
* Willingness to work at a VERY fast pace, yet be precise in your daily tasks.
* STRONG cleaning/sanitizing skills.
* STRONG communication skills.
* Flexible availability.
* Yeast handling proficiency.
* Desire to learn.
* Independent team player with get it done attitude.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee to employ traditional lifting methods.
* Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold.
* Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals.
* Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
* Ability to work in a moderate noise level.
* Must be able to record all brew house information accurately and legibly.
