White Labs is looking for a creative and motivated individual to produce high quality beer for White Labs tasting room, events, & accounts. Individual would maintain solid brewing principles and practices, as well as good understanding of yeast and fermentation in alignment with company strategy. In conjunction with brewing and cellaring, a major component to the position would also assist with research and development of new yeast propagation technology, and advance this technology with respect to brewing. An ideal candidate would posses a highly creative drive and desire to be innovative, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
BA/BS in biology, biochemistry or related field or coursework in brewing technology.
At least 2 years prior brewing experience.
Prior experience with yeast handling and/or intimate knowledge of fermentation.
Background in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry desired.
