  • Environmentally Friendly Cleaning in the Brewery

I'm starting a small brewery (3-barrel electric system), and I've been doing some research on the best cleaning methods to use. I've read many, many threads on this site about the different techniques and products that people use. All of the different methods and product names are a bit confusing.

If possible, I'd like to try to keep our brewery at least somewhat environmentally friendly when it comes to chemicals/cleaners and wastewater. I know PBW is said to be environmentally friendly, but are there any other products that people recommend for cleaning/sanitizing tanks and equipment? We'll have sprayballs in every tank, so the products need to be CIP friendly.

What cleaning process would you suggest to be environmentally friendly and effective at the same time?

I currently use Chem Station and they are very good. Check with them and see how their product is in relation to your environmental concerns
